Dennis

Good for him. Tremendous college player, good dude. Just a natural football player, a guy who stands out and makes plays. Could be a little bigger, will need to develop as a coverage guy as that will be much bigger part of his job at the next level. Should have a long NFL career. All the best to him.

Good luck I wish him well ,he gave it his all every game , does he get drafted I'll say late rounds

40 time will dictate his draft position. You know exactly what you're getting as a football player, but there could be some physical attribute questions. We know he has a quick burst, but not sure about overall speed. If he runs well like 4.5s, he could be a day 2 pick with his production. If he runs 4.7s he's likely a 5th or 6th rounder. I would guess he's somewhere in the middle like 4.6s and goes 4th round.

Dont agree with this one. Seems like a practice squad NFL player but could make 300K or so in college next year.

Do you think that he and his advisers have not considered all of these factors? I suspect they know more about this than any of us do, and will make their decision accordingly.
Of course they do, which is why he's going into the draft. He'll be drafted and make a roster. Coaches love guys like him.

Oh stop it. No one knows more about these kind of things than SMF. Isn't that obvious at this point?

Best linebacker we’ve had since McKillop or Blades. Heckuva run at Pitt. Good luck in the NFL!

I like Dennis but I don't think he makes the 53 man roster next year. He would make more in college.
His issue as an NFL prospect, to the extent he has one, will be his size IMO. I don't think he's as tall or heavy as he's listed. I still think he will be drafted no later than round 5, more likely 3-4. And I think no matter where he's drafted or even if he's a UDFA, which isn't going to happen, he will pop at training camp when the pads go on much as Malcolm Rodriguez, another undersized but super productive LB did with the Lions this year.

SVD is a natural born football player for sure. He has talent, instincts and nobody will outwork him.

the days of levon kirkland sized middle linebackers are done. He's big enough and more importantly, he's athletic enough to cover some backs and wrs on first and second down.

guy is an all acc linebacker with ample starts at both OLB and mlb. you guys "under sell" our players all the time just because you want him to come back. That's fine, i want him back too but i wont hide it behind lies and fabrications.

I want kancey back too, i wanted Shady to come back, I wanted larry Fitz to come back. Just say you want them to come back cause you are a pitt fan and dont make up nonsense about how they wont make it at the next level.

Your estimates for value for NIl are not based in reality - and are consistently loud wrong
I agree with you 100%. People are over estimating the size of these deals. Like him or hate him Franklin came out and stated he needed $7 million a year to remain competitive. That breaks down to 82k a player. Even if you divided it to the starting 22 that barely 300k.
