Possible Sr. transfer. He is a combo guard that was at UMass last year. He knows BK and Smoke.

Only if he can play defense, because 8% three point shooting doesn't cut the mustard.

Re: Derrick Gordon, LINK!

A Former 4 Star Recruit from Jersey and had a number of Top Schools after him!

Isn't he the first openly gay player in college basketball? Hey if he can ball I don't care, just pointing it out.

8% from 3? Pass. Sounds like Cam Wright all over again.

Yea, he'd have to have the reputation of a defensive stopper because his offensive numbers are horrible.

Tyler Wright, a big guy, from Providence is also transferring and had some decent numbers. I haven't seen much of PC but maybe he could start at the 5 for us?

There's going to be a slew of grad transfers. I hope we can land a few difference makers.

If he can bust for 40% from 3 point land, he can wear a pink tutu for all I care. But.....his outside shooting is somewhere between Cam Wright's and mine. That ain't good.

that's ok, but if we have two guys on the outside who are no threat to shoot, it really kills us. His game seems to be predicated on driving the lane. If defenses pack their defense against us because we lack shooters, he won't be able to do that and therefore be ineffective. We really need a guy who can shoot from the outside consistently.

We need a perimeter defender. Artis, D. Johnson, Cam Johnson, and Jones can provide the deep threat. Hopefully JR and Newkirk can improve as well.

The Providence player is Tyler Harris, not Wright. And despite being 6-9, he's not a big man but more of a swing man. I saw Providence play quite a bit this season, and Harris had a strange year. He would play hardly any minutes at all in some games he started, and then play starter's minutes when coming off the bench. He was a wildly inconsistent player who barely logged any minutes at all down the stretch. It suggests that Cooley either soured on him or knew he wasn't coming back (perhaps both). He would not be a starter for Pitt, and certainly not an interior presence.

Like I said earlier in the thread, he would have to be a very good perimeter defender for us to take him. Are we even recruiting him, or are you just listing everyone available? I am not sure if we are after him or not.
