Maybe, just maybe the outcome of today's game was by design.

I'm not suggesting the fact that it went to OT, and ended up as close as it was, but I am suggesting that maybe the coaches didn't want a blowout, so that there wasn't any compliancy in the locker room this week.

The old, "lots of work to do", and "nobody's job is safe" routine.

Maybe? Not likely, but that's all I have at the moment.

No...no that's not it at all. We were that bad.

Been watching pitt football for over 30 years. This was nearly a Pitt. Well, it more or less was a Pitt.

As long as we're considering the implausible ...

Is it possible Pastor Gallagher will feel mercy and rescind the rest of Whiteheads preposterous suspension?

Is there even the slimmest of chances that Sibley is truly the major stud TB that his pedigree suggested, but didn't get any PT behind 3 really boring, pedestrian backs, simply so he can be unleashed in the games that matter? Or ill take Moss in that bargain as well.

I understand the "vanilla" play-calling. But was the design for the defense to leave receivers open, and to get eaten alive at the line-of-scrimmage? And was our kicker told to miss two game-winning field goals?

No...they were that bad today.

YSU eventually figured out that Pitt had no interest, or ability, to through the ball down field.

They also figured out Pitt would stay in their base D all day and their LBs still can't cover anyone.

Nobody designs overtime against YSU.
