He had 17 tackle’s yesterday. This is why I hate video cut-ups. He must have done something right. That said, thts more tackles than he might have had as a Steeler.
A LB falling on the pile 8 yards past the LOS is not impressive.
He must think it is. But he also thinks dropping cats off a 6 story platform is impressive so…
5 solo tackles. Bush plays a physical position and plays it soft.
Seattle gave up over 200 yards rushing lmao. The numbers of tackles some guy had in a butt whipping like that is meaningless.
I get it. But he’s one guy. Albeit at a position that needs to stop the run.
I didn’t really watch much because I’m out of town and had it on in a restaurant. I’ll take everyone’s word that he was just as awful as he was here.
Speaking of tackles, Rowe for the Steelers led the team? That’s nuts to me.
I suspect that the only reason why the Steelers kept him as long as they did was because they thought that he really couldn’t be that bad, and that he simply needed more time. But sometimes, seeing is believing….
As bad as he has been so far Bush is still only 25 years old, he still has a chance to turn his career around. Based on what he’s done so far his ceiling is probably to be an average starting LB. Obviously a disappointment after how high he was drafted and what the Steelers gave up to take him.

He’s a backup for a reason
He played well prior to his knee injury. He lost speed and quickness after the injury. His game was based on quickness he is a smaller linebacker. Take away a step or two and his game will suffer.
He almost seems like he hates to "fit" the run. Meaning there are times and places you have to "fit" in a gap and take on a blocker in order to for the defense to have some kind of gap integrity. You might not make the tackle but you can't give up your gap! He is the polar opposite of a Kendrell Bell, Larry Foote, etc. Hell - Vince Williams would look like Dick Butkus compared to this kid and the main reason was Williams was downhill and loved to fit the run. He almost plays the inside run like a safety does and the defense sacrifices because of it.
