We gave them the 20, 52 and next year’s third for Devin Bush.
Basically a 2nd cause we will get a 3rd next year for Bell.We gave them the 20, 52 and next year’s third for Devin Bush.
I think that’s fair.
The Raiders and Giants could have easily moved back and still drafted their guy. The Steelers made the right move.I think that’s fair. It’s not like the Jones situation, Bush would’ve been long gone by the time the Steelers turn came around.
If it wasnt for how good Joe Greene was, Dan Marino would have been a Steeler. idk .. LOLI hated when the Steelers would just stand pat in previous years. I applaud them this year and hopefully they aren’t done. The Pats do a masterful job of moving around in the draft.
WE GOT BUSH !!!!!
Also having the second pick in the 3rd round in the Mr Bigchest trade lessens the impact of losing our second rounder. Great move for an impact player.Basically a 2nd cause we will get a 3rd next year for Bell.
We still need another WR.
How does this math work?Basically a 2nd cause we will get a 3rd next year for Bell.

Not a good year for CB. And the 1st rd results suggest that, as the CB’s the Steelers were linked with didn’t go in round 1. One CB was drafted and that was #30.I would be ecstatic if they had traded high enough to get the other Devin, but I am not sold on Bush. I would rather they had stayed where they were and taken a CB.
As for the Giants, many projections had them taking Jones with their #17 pick. I assume they were fixated on Jones and didn’t want to risk another team drafting him rather than Haskins. The Redskins took Haskins at 15 but all signs had them taking Haskins over Jones or Lock. If the Giants get value at #17 they are OK but right now they look like idiots. Also, they probably could have swapped a 2nd or 3rd for Josh Rosen, who I think has a much higher upside than Jones.
Jones doesn’t remind me of a Manning even if he had the same coach. He does remind me of Jarred Goff though and that isn’t bad.
How does this math work?
I'm shocked they actually pulled the trigger and made a good move up. The old stand pat systems just doesn't cut it anymore.I hated when the Steelers would just stand pat in previous years. I applaud them this year and hopefully they aren’t done. The Pats do a masterful job of moving around in the draft.

really?
How about.....the Steelers are wise enough to know WHEN to trade up and WHEN to stand pat.
I mean.....the last two times the Steelers traded up they got Santonio Holmes and Troy.
And both times, they were in the super bowl within 3 years.
Disagree. None of those CB's are even close to the quality of Bush.I would be ecstatic if they had traded high enough to get the other Devin, but I am not sold on Bush. I would rather they had stayed where they were and taken a CB.

As I checked out the draft show and each time a Clemson DL got picked, I was cringing that the highlight reel would be of the guy in question flying effortlessly in to demolish Kenny Pickett or one our backs in the ACC champ game. Mercifully I think those guys were genuinely pretty good so they had footage of them in legit games.I love watching the highlight reels they show when these kids get drafted. They’ll show a LB flying in completely untouched and leveling a QB or back. Not that there isn’t intuition or speed needed to do that but mostly it is a back missing a blitz or someone blowing an assignment. How many free shots does that guy get in the NFL? Not saying that is Bush - it isn’t. But I remember Jarvis Jones was a lot of that. I saw a few of those last night too.
Actually by draft value they got off a little cheap. Should have had to use this year's 2nd 3rd. Typically the following years picks are valued a round lower. Which would mean next year's third would be valued at a 4th this year.Yeah, I was thinking that's around what you should have to pay to move up from 20 to 10.
But they still lost the pick they traded. They'll gain a compensatory 3rd (it might end up being a 4th) from the NFL due to Bell's deal with the Jets. You can't trade those picks, so you trade your original 3rd round pick (in the 80s or so) and then keep the compensatory pick (about pick 96, 97).
Why do everyone keep saying they game up a 20, 52 and next years draft like we gave them 3 picks. We only gave up the 52 and next years pick, which we don't know how low or high it was be. We swapped the 20th for 10th. They didn't give up a lot to move in the top 10. Seriously, how much do you all think they should have given to move up and finally have the chance to draft a day one starter? I just don't get it.
