4pm seemed like an odd start time and it gives officials 4 hours less to secure everything. Then I saw the Gator was already scheduled for 8. Did ESPN dictate the 4pm slot for TV?
They wanted the early kickoff since the winner plays a week from today.Teams asked for an earlier kick off time
No...4pm seemed like an odd start time and it gives officials 4 hours less to secure everything. Then I saw the Gator was already scheduled for 8. Did ESPN dictate the 4pm slot for TV?
Makes senseThey wanted the early kickoff since the winner plays a week from today.
four and a half hours? does not seem to jive with the NFL's logic of the Lions/Vikings game being the Sunday night game this week...Me thinks this was more of a local law enforcement/government decision based on a reasons they did not feel the need to divulge to the Lair..They wanted the early kickoff since the winner plays a week from today.

I don't think "they", whoever that may be, is calling the time of day scheduling decisions in the city of New Orleans right now.....They wanted to get out of there and get a home at a reasonable hour to start preparing for PSU, which essentially has a bye week to prepare.
I think that lunatic in that truck was more responsible.4pm seemed like an odd start time and it gives officials 4 hours less to secure everything. Then I saw the Gator was already scheduled for 8. Did ESPN dictate the 4pm slot for TV?
Good point. How many people had to get out of New Orleans yesterday? While getting out at 9:00 at night is not ideal, it’s better than 1:00 AM.
