I didn’t follow it as close as others since I haven’t had seasons in a few years. But I was stunned when I saw that earlier.

The only "craft" the Club had to offer tonight was Sam Adams.

Well the stands for the "regular people " just had a little sign on the beer entry on the price board as "Coming Soon".

It probably won't matter much to me anyway, because I am sure that they are going to charge ridiculous "arena prices" for the beers, and I won't pay that much for what they'll be selling. I just hadn't heard that they were going to offer it to the "regular people" this year.

I have nowhere else to post this so I might as well post it here, was I the last person to realize that the eyebrows of our new panther head are Nike Swooshes? It’s like the hidden Fed Ex arrow, now I can’t look at it without seeing it.

I didn't see any of the banners anywhere. I liked to always point out the 2 National Championships to newcomers to the arena.

No-brainer decision by Lyke, and should help bring in a little more revenue. Would love to see beer sales expanded to some of the other on-campus venues; I'd love to settle in with a $9 Yuengling while watching a Pitt baseball game next year.

As an aside, I wasn't at the game last night, but in the pictures I've seen the new Pete renovations appear to be very well-done, both the more obvious ones (colors, branding, scoreboards) and the more subtle things (better wi-fi, energy efficient lighting, etc.).

This. There are plenty of good local beers. And they shouldn’t limit it to club. Lots of the locals can their beer so it should be easy to manage.

Can someone sneak me beer from the club? Particular if the regulars are limited to Yuengling and Coors Light.

Is the food in the Campus View Club any good? Do many people eat there? We don't always have time to go to a restaurant before the game. I'd love the opportunity to have a decent meal at the Pete but I guess they would never open it up to anyone but club members. Those kiosks on the upper level have better food than the regular concession stands, but they have never been open until the conference schedule starts.

I heard they were building or remodeling a conference room. Should be open by next week.

I wouldn't be surprised if they do once the regular season, or perhaps the conference season starts. With the crowd last night a 50-50 would have been worth about $3.75.

Imagine how much more money they'd make if they sold them for a normal price. For $9 you ought to get at least two, maybe three Yuenglings.

The Atlanta Falcons tried "normal" concessions prices when they opened their new stadium. All the other owners told Arthur Blank he was an idiot and was going to miss out on a ton of profit. Concession sales at their new place ended up being so great that they made more money selling concessions at a regular price than they ever did selling them at inflated prices.
