For now but teams can lose and we can work our way back in. Nevada down 6 to friggin SJSU late in 1st Half. Nevada is no better than this SJSU team. This would be no upset. Nevada is butt. Great resume though
Probably deserve that, statistical models all seem to work against us, justified or not (a lot of them are random BS, subjective nonsense, but bafflingly they get factored in). So it looks bad. But there are countless reasons why the tournament makeup are assembled, and maybe there will be some perceived reason it would be interesting to have Pitt included. Just the novelty of it perhaps, given the decade or so since we were relevant. Perhaps to create an interesting matchup, a TCU or WVU or PSU or such… of course there could easily be reasons for the opposite and we get kept out, perhaps little to nothing to do with looking so crappy today.
It’s like electing a new pope or making sausage (no association of pope and sausage intended). But we may never know. And they don’t want us to. They want it esoteric so people talk about it and watch the selection show.
It just stinks that they couldn’t have held the facade together 10 more days or so after the wonderful Syracuse evening. But it’s been by and large nothing but dreadful (I do think they busted their tails in Miami, but it was needed in the other games too).
The same people that said Pitt was in yesterday are now saying they are out.

The weird thing is that we were pretty good this year and this wasnt your classic Duke team. Yet, that was one of the worst beatdowns I have ever seen Pitt take. There were a few under Stallings but they looked 0-18ish today. Hard to fathom how bad we were defensively.
Some people don't want to blame Capel but he needs to be blamed too. It was obvious the team was not prepared to play and didn't seem to know what to expect. And this is not like Pitt hasn't played Duke this season, they already played once!!
Also Capel needed to call a timeout much sooner. When it was 6-0 I think he should have but definitely after it was 8-0 to settle the team down. This game reminded me unfortunately of many of the games under him during the past 4 seasons.
Maybe Capel is ACC Coach of the Year and congrats to him. But he is certainly not a top tier coach in the ACC. He's middle of the pack at this point. The lack of preparation for games has happened more than a few times this year, and that is concerning.

Stop......Admit u as a few others can't stand JC. I was at yesterday's and today's games. Almost all of the fans from other teams congratulated us on having a great season. I come on here and see so called Pitt fans doom and glooming it especially you and some other regular culprits. Duke fans actually said Scheyer had a disappointing regular season but peaking at the right time now. It was just enjoyable to be with other diehard Pitt fans on the road. H2P!!
