When asked about the upcoming game against Wisconsin, he replied, "One game does not define a season."

I thought, damage control already.

Yep when you have the 3rd highest paid salary in the ACC like Dixon does you better at least win one game in the tournament. Whether Jamie needs to go or not I don't know but something with this program needs to change moving forward. It's now going to be 8 years next season since Pitt even made it to the sweet 16. That's just not good enough for the kind of contract Dixon has and for what your paying him.

I like jamie as a coach but we need to get a star player like the great teams have. We need to know who will have the ball at the end in a close game.

No, that was simply Jamie doing what he always does to the media - doing his subtle back and forth about why they're wrong and he's right. It's kind of snarky and not as up front as a Huggins or Calhoun.

Truth is - he may be right. A one and done tournament with a flawed team is a bad judge of their overall body of work. What can't be argued however is that since the end of Butler game, Pitt has been an absolute mess in the postseason and like it or not, success in March and the NCAA tournament is how the rest of the sporting world measures success in college basketball.

Absolutely. The guy is a walking talking human defense mechanism. Tired of his losing spiel. I'll pay for his flight to Fort Worth-first class if he desires!

That's no guarantee either. There is no magic bullet. Based on our history, I suspect that has not been our major issue.
