I had an abusive father who beat up my mother so I will not forgive Dior for striking a woman. So these comments are on in his basketball from the documentary I watched.
Dior surprised me in a really good way. He actually seems humble on the court and mature. In the first practice #23 was playing well for his team and Dior just kept getting him the ball in good spots. Especially on the block. I loved that #23. I also saw Dior doesn’t play with the ball he makes a move and attacks with his head up and if a guy is rim running or cutting he finds him and also kicks the ball out well. I didn’t expect him to pass like that.
Offensively, he can get by most guys at will and has great body control. Tough for defenders to stay in front. Didn’t see any dunks so don’t know at 6ft 3in how explosive he is. Also, will take the 3 point shot but is kind of hesitant and likes to drive.
Seems to make others on his team better. Doesn’t play like a young guy as far as decision making and pace. And has played top competition so he shouldn’t be rattled.
In the video he seemed like a mature kid for all his successes and a very hard worker. I pray for him he stays out of trouble and is locked in. I think he could be one of the all around best players we have had in a long time.
