Volleyball will be capable especially with Victory Heights.

Soccer. The ACC will hold back Pitt volleyball. This isnt to say they cant do it but I think Pitt soccer has a better chance of going on a 5 game winning streak in the NCAAT than volleyball does of going on a 6 game one.

It’s just so hard when you consider having to beat behemoths like stanford, etc. of course the same holds true in VBall. With the fertile recruiting area here, I’m going to say wrestling. But we need a strong wrestling club and donation base to compete with the PSU’s.

I think its so much easier in soccer. Look at programs like Akron, Charlotte, Syracuse, etc. make runs. I dont follow women's volleyball too closely but isnt the Final Four always 2 Big Ten schools, 1 Pac 12 school and Texas? Some of these volleyball programs actually turn a profit. We can never compete with that.

Much better chance in soccer. As earlier poster said, teams have come from nowhere to have runs in soccer and have won it all. Doesn’t happen in wrestling. Teams like VT, NC State, Missouri, Cornell and now Princeton occasionally have been able to break into the top five. But, none have won it. Or even come close in reality. Pitt’s second place finish back in the 1950s under Rex Peery is likely our best finish ever.
