Dixon was 15-6 against Boeheim and that included beating him three times in his final season, 2015-16.
Nobody was happier to see Dixon leave Pitt than Cuse fans.Dixon was 15-6 against Boeheim and that included beating him three times in his final season, 2015-16.
COnsidering Dixon had the highest winning percentage in big east history he did it to a lot of coaches.15-6. Wow. That’s insane.
But But But Dixon didn't have an offensive strategy. They just played too slow and couldn't score.Funny what a coherent offensive strategy can achieve ?
Anyone that advocated for getting rid of Dixon should be publicly flogged in front of the Pete. But But But Dixon didn't have an offensive strategy. They just played too slow and couldn't score.

Doesn't matter. Boeheim was still more successful during that time.Dixon was 15-6 against Boeheim and that included beating him three times in his final season, 2015-16.

NCAA Championship....multiple Final Fours, Elite Eights, etc....while Dixon was annually underachieving in the tournament.
I'm just saying....
But he did have him on his team and just a about every great team that wins championships has a great player .Jim’s longevity and consistency are the keys to his legacy. If not for Carmelo, one of the best college players in recent memory, dropping in for one year were likely still talking about a guy without a ring. The zone was just utter hell to prep for come tournament time and they found a way to go on some long runs, but it’s tough to put him up on a level with the coaching blue bloods
Nope. Dixon perennially over-achieved in the regular season.Doesn't matter. Boeheim was still more successful during that time.

Lol....he sure did. That's why I specifically said tournament.Nope. Dixon perennially over-achieved in the regular season.
My point was that I don't think he under-achieved in the tournament. His regular season success was above his players' ability, his post season reflected his players' ability. The only "underacheiving" came from the minds of fans that didn't realize his teams weren't as talented as his regular season record led them to believe.Lol....he sure did. That's why I specifically said tournament.
Along with the cuse, I was glad to see Dixon go tooNobody was happier to see Dixon leave Pitt than Cuse fans.
Maybe the happiest fanbase to see any coach go.
Maybe the LA Rams fans will surpass if Shanahan spanks McVay again.
6 straight losing seasons. Things have really taken off since he left.Along with the cuse, I was glad to see Dixon go too
Did it ever occur to you that Dixon might have overachieved during the regular season and that during the tournament the talent level caught up with him?Doesn't matter. Boeheim was still more successful during that time.

Anyone that understands basketball realizes this is what happened most years.Did it ever occur to you that Dixon might have overachieved during the regular season and that during the tournament the talent level caught up with him?
No......That's a nice spin that you all are trying to make, but with about 11 tournament appearances you just can't make that case.Did it ever occur to you that Dixon might have overachieved during the regular season and that during the tournament the talent level caught up with him?
Or before he left6 straight losing seasons. Things have really taken off since he left.
