Dixon's decision to play Luther 4 minutes cost us the game

Nelson adoda and Maia. Really, whatever Jamie had as a coach, he lost it
couldn't agree more, our 2 best players down the stretch were Cam & Luther and they hardly saw the floor

Curious to say the least! Or just another Jamie dandy choke job when he needed to step up

I actually thought what he did made sense, and worked quite well.
When you score only 43 points..... whatever your plan was, it didn't work well.

Ododa and Maia combined for:

27 minutes.... 0 points.... 6 rebounds.... 1 block.... 6 fouls.... 2 turnovers.

Do you REALLY think Luther couldn't have put up better numbers than that in *HALF* the minutes?

Jamie outsmarted himself. ANO should've watched the entire game from the end of the bench. If Luther got his 4 minutes plus Ododa's 13.... He scores at least 6-8 points and Pitt likely wins.

Horrendous decision. Ranks right up there with Hurdle starting Sean Rodriguez at 1b in the playoff game. Outsmarted himself.

He might als have let up a ton of points too. His one stint in the first half I think Wisconsin hit two shots directly over him.

They're only second year players...he was worried they would choke under pressure. Need to wait your turn and watch the upper classmen in front of you choke it away...that way by the time you're an upper classmen you're well-versed in choking and you can continue the long-standing Pitt tradition.

LMAO - please explain how playing ANO major mins made any sense when are playing 4 against 5 on offense with him in the game and we needed offense.

Happ was the Big Ten Frosh of the Year, and the 2nd best 5 we've faced all year outside of Hammons. He was afraid he would eat up the smaller Luther.....and he might have, its easy to disagree with it now.

Pitt lost this game by scoring 43 pts and as horrible as the play was not to put him out there is inexcusable .

He might have. But at some point didn't you have to put him into the game to see if he would have or not?

I mean I could understand if you were getting anything on the offensive end at all from Maia or Nelson-Ododa or if even though you weren't getting anything at all from those guys you were still maintaining a decent lead. But once the lead went away and you were having so much trouble scoring and you were getting nothing from the two guys you were playing doesn't it make sense at some point to try something different? What's the worst thing that could have happened, a loss?

Sorry.... this isn't post-game 20/20. We were all saying it *AS IT WAS HAPPENING* during the first half.

Secondly... Happ is nowhere near the second-best 5 we faced all year. Brice Johnson, Onuaku, Leday, Auguste, Hammons, Gill were all better than him. He's basically Marshall Plumlee. And who played great against Plumlee? Ryan Luther.

His other poor coaching decision was not running any plays for Cam. He took one three. How does that happen when the team is playing so badly on offense?

And I believe after he missed, he came out and didn't see the floor again. Can is a shooter and needs to get more than one three attempt in that game. Instead we end up with James taking 15 shots...

Jamie doesnt run set plays. As bad as everyone hates Gottfried and Rowan, Gottfried runs at least 5 set plays for Rowan a game to get him an open 3. Even when Smith was shooting well, no sets. Johnson: no sets.
