Do you think there's anything to this?

So last night, while I was rocking my kid to sleep, I was obviously thinking about Pitt football, and the following thought came to me...

Pitt's biggest struggles this season came against SMU and Cal — two teams Narduzzi hasn't played against at Pitt, prior to this year. However, when you look at his ACC record going up against teams we regularly play, it's quite good.

I got to thinking that perhaps some of our struggles might be rooted in the fact that we just didn't know those teams as well, so we didn't game plan for everything we should have, and the results suffered a bit. I think Narduzzi has alluded to that a little bit in his press conference comments throughout the year, talking about these games and not having those regular divisional opponents on the schedule anymore.

Just a thought. Obviously could be way off on this. There's obviously other issues at play, but I wonder if the unfamiliarity played a significant role.

If it did, well the last 4 games are against very familiar opponents. We should have a better idea of tendencies and how to game plan, so it should all be about execution.
