I think he has to. The ACC has become the Big 12. I'm not sure we'll ever face a lineup of QBs and WRs we faced this year but its not just that. These week in and week out spreads cause a lot of problems even if there arent NFL QBs and WRs.

Ten win season if he would have made this adjustment after the PSU game.

Of course he does. The same reason Matt Canada's offense has been so great this year is why Narduzzi's defense has been terrible. Canada is unpredictable and tailors his gameplan to attack the weakness of a defense. Narduzzi rolls out the same defense no matter what.

I'll reserve judgement until he gets a couple more recruiting classes to get his kind of players in.

If there isn't significant improvement, then we'll see.

He may have the talent to play it next year.
Didn't have that talent this season, refused to adjust, and cost his team wins. The buck stops with him. Good season could have been great.

Agree I don't care if we play aggressive D but you have to mix up the coverages more. They do a pretty good job mixing up the blitzes but the coverage is the same %80 of the time(more in some games). I don't like schemes which depend completely on just being better than the other guy. I hate the Patriots but love how they almost completely change there scheme based on their opponents weakness.

He did mixed up the coverages. Just like yesterday. They played soft coverage to not get beat deep. So what happen? Cuse throw lateral passes and the dbs and lbs missed every tackle and they still scored. If you all really think the man just played the same.defense all year then that is just not correct. His real problem was playing those upper classmen to not burn every redshirt and sophmore.

the run defense has been great, the pass defense was horrible, some of you guys talk as if you are going to make the changes that you think need to be made, a bunch of arm chair coaches, you watch the games and let the coaches coach the games

Put two future NFL corners and a ball hawk free safety in that defense and we're having a whole different conversation about Narduzzi's scheme. LBs that can run and play sideline to sideline would help a lot as well. I like the look of the DBs we brought in last year, long, rangy, athletic. Those were the kinds of corners Duzzi had at MSU during the years that was top 5-10 defense. Remains to be seen what we have there but the potential is there.

He doesn't have to rethink anything about his defense. He is the head coach and getting paid quite a bit to hold that position. Prior to being that he was viewed by many around the country as one of the top defensive coordinators in the nation. He knows what he's doing and needs his players to perform their job given to them each week. He is the paid expert, we are not.

When 4-7 Syracuse with a back up QB puts up 61 on your home field then yes it may be time to rethink the defense Pitt plays. The talent just isn't there on defense currently to play the system he wants. In 2018 and beyond, then he can play his system with his own recruits.

Couldn't believe on how many 3rd and 4th downs Cuse picked up needing 3 yards while the secondary was 8-9 yards deep to tackle guy after gaining 4
