No because it's not his fault of course don't know know that? It's the refs fault and um it's X and Toney's fault and it's the weather's fault, definitely the weather's fault. But Capel's fault? That's preposterous!

Anyone still on this board since Pitt became Boston College 5 years ago deserves all the praise in the world. It is sinful what this program has become. This is the worst 5 year stretch in program history. 19 conference wins in 5 years with no end in sight.
I've been through a lot of really bad Pitt basketball over the past 50 years or so. And I know there are many others on this board who can say the same thing. But for you to scold us because we're fair weather fans is foolish on your part because you obviously haven't seen what we have seen. For a program to sink this low so fast after being so high for so long is unacceptable.
We're not asking for the 25+ win type seasons that we came to expect not so long ago. All we want is respectability and a coach who can, you know, coach and do his job. Stallings was an unmitigated disaster. Capel hasn't shown any hint that he can do the job consistently. He needs to quit with the political crap and his "wokeness", whatever that is, and do what he's getting paid a lot of money to do. He's making a fool of himself...AND, he can't coach or recruit.
It appeared we were back after 2 wins against the Cuse and Duke.
We had enough talent to finish in top 7.
We didn’t because of coaching. Coaching includes the ability to control your players and craft a cohesive team.
I too am a fan for over 50 and I too am a fan wanting w's, but give capel a chance, 3 years is not enough, Narduzzi now is a different story, he needs to produce this year his 7th, I get it, some on here no matter what sport bb or fb after a win the board responds heather made a great hire and the very next game could be a loss and the she needs to go
It really seemed were we making progress to that point.
Then..the bottom fell out.
Something “impactful” needs to happen to right the ship, be it recruiting or staff changes.
Congrats on being a fan for 50+ years. A lot of us are in that club.
My question to you is...have you seen any hint that Capel is capable of getting the necessary recruits to Pitt and being able to coach those recruits in the next 2 years that will insure close to a winning season? I'm not asking for the heights we were at not so long ago. I haven't seen a hint that he is capable of doing any of that yet because he hasn't produced results that say he can. And to top it off, Capel just keeps making excuses and getting in his own way with the political garbage and statements. He needs to do his job.
