Hey guys , just some info on Jeter. Official to Michigan went very well. Not sure he is a take for us right now , but your never with Harbaugh. Hopefully he ends up at Pitt if its not Michigan.

Hail to Pitt
Go Blue

If I was a soldier I wouldn't want anyone else leading me in to war but coach harbaugh

Well he said stuff like that about Narduzzi for the past year too. He seems to get easily impressed with wherever he is at at the time. He needs to take his time and think things over before making any decision.

You never know with Jeter either. He's seemed to like the flavor of the week. And I don't mean that to dump on him. He's just one of those kids who I'll believe he's going somewhere when he signs his LOI. And not a second sooner.

I think I would want a military leader who understood war tactics over a FB coach.

Very surprised Harbaugh took him although we are losing alot up front . Be surprised if this one sticks. Seems like a caught up in the moment type verbal much like Notre Dame's was.

Exactly. The kid didn't learn his lesson, even though he said he did after decommitting from ND. Harbaugh is ruthless and will drop Jeter as soon as he needs that ship for a different player or position.

I am just waiting on someone here to say they seen him play and dominated. Word on the street is you have to ask who he is when you show up to the game.

You mean instead of believing Steel Curtain penciling Jeter in as a "Pitt lock" a couple months back? Yeah I think I'm with you.

So he missed on this one. Don't worry, Tyjuan Garbutt also plays the DL and SteelCurtain penciled him in also.

Enough with Jeter. I really hope he goes to Michigan or Ohio State. That's where his ego belongs.

Oh well, there's still plenty of time for him to de-commit and then re-commit elsewhere -- several more times, actually.
That's why the recruiting process in my mind is more of a show for these kids.
What better way to be highlighted than to commit, decommit, etc. and have people on these boards kissing your cleats.
The process s/b you go to a bunch of schools you decide, you commit, you sign the LOI, you're locked in. End of story!
No signing day TV show make it a fluid continuous process!
If the show part of the process is eliminated more players who commit and lock in early.

While I understand he is a solid talent, I wonder what the perception would be among his potential suitors if he decided to break another commitment? The upper-echelon schools (Alabama, OSU, UM, etc) likely are not going to want to deal with a player who changes his mind every 15 minutes.

Jeter may stick at UM, but they now have six 4-star commitments along the DL, with one 5-star, two 4-star, and two 3-star recruits along the DL last year. That's an incredible amount of young talent to wade through and find a spot on the field.

Yep. As others have wondered, did Jeter see this other commitment in the works?

I realize he's teenager but honestly he goes to ND, get's all excited, commits immediately, then has buyers remorse and de-commits saying that he needs to carefully consider his options, goes to Michigan and does the exact same thing. Pretty wacko, even by today's recruiting standards. I don't wish the kid ill-will, but it would be kind of entertaining if Harbaugh pulls a "Weaver" on Jeter and pulls his scholarship at the last minute. In any case, Pitt should absolutely move on.
