Don't think I've ever heard announcers talk so poorly about a QB...

As I heard last night. They appeared to be dumbfounded how Jurkovec remains the QB. I think the play action short pass on 4th and forever was the last straw for the one dude.

Sean McDonough wasn’t even on the call and he relishes in bashing Pitt

The sad thing is, Jurkovec was the single reason why we lost the Cincinnati and WVU games. That’s no longer the case against UNC and VT. As someone mentioned in another thread, they pretty much have already packed it in.
When you continue to support a guy who is underperforming as badly as jerk it sends a horrible message to the rest of the team
There will be mass exodus after this year

Yep, it's tough to go out there and play knowing your QB gives you zero chance. Imagine practices. They have to be going through the motions already.

And HCPN is oblivious to it all.
Not likely. He may not have an answer but he’s not oblivious. He’s not gonna rip everything publicly like we do on this board. Just not the way head coaches roll. Every once in a while there’s a public blast but coaches aren’t gonna rail their guys in the media. Especially in college.

He’s choosing to do nothing. Oblivious or indifferent, the results are the same.

Post game comments sure sounded like he was dissing the OL. "Phil has no time" "He's always getting hit"
"Dan Marino couldn't" etc.

The loudest criticism a coach can give to a player is to bench him.

We haven’t “heard a peep” of that and likely aren’t gonna.

He’s either mentally ill in this, or scheming to piss everyone off so much that Pitt has to offer him an early buyout.

It’s rare to see a Pitt team collapse in every phase of the game, but this is what we’re witnessing. And don’t look now, but….we still haven’t played the toughest games on the schedule.

Being that I’m not invited to observe practices it might actually being saying something about the quality of the backups !

Right. He waits until after the season before he rips players and coaches that he hired and that he selected as starters.

Sean McDonough and Greg McIlroy were ripping Jurkovec apart during the backyard brawl. I was a little surprised by it, even though they were completely correct.
I'm happy to hear poor little Jurkoff get mercilessly ripped and humiliated, he's not a ''kid'', he's a pro football player who totally sucks! he needs to be pulled, I read he's getting over $200K in NIL, he needs to pay that back :)

Pitt has the second worst completion % of any team in the country.

They should absolutely be clowned by any announcing crew as Phil dumps 5 yard passes at the feet of receivers.

130: Navy 51.8%
131: Army 51.5%
132: Pitt 49.6%
133: Iowa 48.8%

That’s right, our offense has a higher chance of completing a pass than Iowa. That’s it.

While far from a gifted orator at his press conferences, Narduzzi to his credit never throws players under the bus and usually accepts the blame. It would be one more thing for the media to attack him on if he did that. I remember Graham made a somewhat benign post-game comment on Tino after a rough game and the media wouldn't let him forget it.
