I'm loyal Pitt fan who lives in NC. I saw Duke play VA a couple weeks ago. Both teams played a lot of underclassman. VA qb is very good & they are a heavy passing team. Their coach is a very aggressive play caller. Seldom punt. Pitt will have their hands full vs their passing game.

UVA can throw the forward pass, therefore Pitt will have it's hands full.
Agree if they are a decent passing team then they are a bad matchup for Pitt. Still they are probably 5th or 6th as far as toughest remaining games. Pitt needs to win this game, if we are going to have any shot 7 or 8 wins and maybe even being bowl eligible. VA tech is much better than I expected. That's a game that I had as a win. Duke looks better the last few weeks after looking pretty bad to start the year. ACC is really improving, Miami,VA tech and NC are looking like they are going to be top 25 teams pretty regularly. That means we are going to have likely 5 or 6 top 25 type of games each year, unless they start scheduling cream puff's OOC.
With our defense being what it is any rational supporter would recognize we're capable of losing to just about any decent opponent on a given day. I'm expecting more of the same of what we've seen for 5 consecutive weeks: a pretty good offense susceptible to production lulls due to a tepid passing attack and a pass defense that's a sieve. That plus the game being on the road means that this will most likely be another nail biter.

i've said it several times, we will play a lot of close games, our defense will keep other teams in the game.

When I read "passing team" it sure sounds like a way to get sacks, knock the ball loose and manufacture points for Pitt.

Yeah Pitt can't underestimate anyone no way you can give away points and expect to win. This is a game you should win but we'll make it interesting that's for sure

Its funny, I know a guy who played OL for Corso back at Indiana a long time ago. He first told me he played for IU, I asked him what years and when he told me, I asked him if he played for Corso, he said yes. I asked him to give me the skinny on Corso. He looked at me and started laughing. I said what is so funny, he said, lets just say he made a great career move getting out of coaching and going into TV. I said that bad? He said yeah as a football coach, that bad. This guy who played for him is a orthopedic surgeon.
