Dorsett Cheers with Pitt Players, PSU Fans Believe Heckling QB

Reading that thread on BWI is just crazy. The video pretty much tells the whole story. Dorsett was chanting "Hail To Pitt" as Pitt players were walking down through the mutual team area where some Pitt and PSU players were also being interviewed. PSUs QB was being interviewed by some little news groups like PSUs TOS, which caught in the background Dorsett chanting to the Pitt players walking through.

Now on BWI, you have them saying Dorsett was "heckling" McSorley, "screaming in his face", "Dorsett is trash", etc.

Just on its own, that is a shared players tunnel for those things. Dorsett was cheering on the Pitt football players who were in the tunnel. Probably didnt even know the McSorley interview was even going on or even who he was....not that either of those things matter since he was celebrating with the Pitt players in the hallway. Is Dorsett not supposed to cheer with the Pitt players, at Pitt's stadium post-game because a PSU player is being interviewed by some little websites and news sites???

Dorsett also is facing some issues that will likely be attributed to CTE, which sadly is due to his stellar college and NFL careers. Yet you have some of the classless and outright hateful things being said about him on BWI. Just a sample of a few over there with zero class:

PSU deserves no better treatment than any other team and doesn't deserve to have the hallways around Heinz Field be silent while those jackasses interview their player. Who cares what they're doing? I give PSU credit for coming back the way they did. Pitt should have never let them back in the game the way we did, a game they didn't have any business being in. We buried them in the first half and they somehow dug themselves out. No excuses to not have completely buried them in the first half and be up by 35 going into the 4th quarter.

The locker rooms are about 75 yards apart there and Pitt's players walk right past the likely spot he was being interviewed in as it's clearly a hallway. Here's a tip for the PSU folks - use the room your head coach was interviewed in and you don't have to worry about your precious feelings being hurt by people celebrating their victory.

Four things are apparent:
I'm certain any Pitt Fan could not identify Trace McSorley as the starting QB
Tony Dorsett likely had no idea he was a Pitt or Penn State player. He was excited.
Trace McSorley handled the situation great and was impressed that a HOF just walked by regardless of what he was cheering. I'm actually impressed how he handled it and showed total self-confidence and admiration for a competitor that did it at the highest level.
Reporters are actually expecting a great interview in a hallway where it's very busy?

It is just Game Day Banter and happens all the time and I witness PSU Fans calling ND Coach Weis Fatso going back to the Locker Room after the Warm Ups wearing FU Rudy White T-Shirts, it happens and why fans go to Games to see the Boola Boola dating back since the Game was invented.

McSorley handle it well with class and Dorsett was on the other end of that 3 times when he played and lost to PSU too!

Big Deal, the PSU-PITT Fans were classy all game long, and PITT Fans were just glad to get out of there with a Win, and PSU Fans were just glad it was Close, and i think caused both fans Bases to be more quiet by the end of the end of the game.

I was at Bar in West Virginia near Cooper's Rock State Park, with few PSU and PITT fans some married to each other giving it back and forth watching the end of the game and they had fun and bought them all a Beer when I came in, and proud all were just as classy and glad they saw a great game.

I watched the ESPN replay and Tony D. gave a nice - though brief - interview during the first quarter of the game. He looked and sounded good. No doubt that TD is one of the top couple of Panthers of all time.

I have Ped State friends who still bring up Dorsett's unpaid parking tickets from the 70s. For some unknown [sarcasm] reason they hate him. Can't figure out why. Meanwhile they idolize their HOF running back because he is still kissing Joe's ass.
