You could see this coming Week 1 when PJ didn't light up a JV Wofford team. I was worried then but never thought it would be this bad. Drastic changes could've and should've been made much earlier to try to salvage the season. It's going to be very tough now.
Honestly the spring is often pretty telltale. It’s a fact that with many programs the defense is typically ahead of the offense in the spring, but when the offense is just totally hapless in the spring, that’s a very bad sign. And we’ve had that the last two years.
If you don't think "Play Calling" matters, just look at the Steelers/Texans game. The Texans played with mostly back up OLs, including the Steelers reject-kendricks Green- they knew the Steelers have a massive pass rush, so they design plays to neutralize both Highsmith and Watt.
Their OC had an excellent game plan centered around avoiding the Steelers pass rush.
BTW, Alabama went through three quarterbacks before finally settling on a starter.

I listened to the presser and the context is important. It definitely didnt sound like Phil is getting benched or he's contemplating an OC change. He was defensive of Phil and it sounded like he's more just considering game planning changes
At this point I am more interested in what he does this off-season pending how the rest of the season goes.

Coaches have little other than contempt for their AD / GM / president / owner
So coaches will respect the opinions of NOBODY but themselves and in fact would be apt to do the opposite of what the “unwashed” want.
Often that is for the best, fans and especially media are largely uniformed at best, idiots at most.
But in this case the situation is obvious even to the “ungrown asses”.
But he won’t listen to us so he only hope is for his bosses to intervene. Because the way this is going it won’t just impact this season (with the tickets and donations already in the books), but next season, and far reaching implications for the program down the line as far as conference jockeying and future revenues.
But, alas, at our school, they don’t give a sh1t. The AD knows she’s leaving soon. The chancellor only took the job to ESCAPE the sports obsessed Big Ten (and ugly legal entanglements…nice hire as usual Pitt). Her first move here was to neuter the basketball team. No help coming from these sources

Hard to win a game with 9 1st downs? It’s also even harder to win a game with 0 TD’s and only 6 total points, like at WVU.
This has been a season long problem. 5 games is a LONG time to make a determination that drastic changes are needed. Maybe he was waiting for the bye week? 🤷♂️
Phil is done, he's long gone, broken beyond repair. Anybody who can't see that has lost touch with reality, and isn't paying attention at all.
He's obviously not the only problem, as the OL has mostly been horrible. However, I have no confidence in any staff that continues to trot that guy out as QB.
I've been a staunch advocate of Narduzzi, but he's quickly losing me with his complete non-action regarding this offensive shit-show.

How can there not be drastic changes? It doesn’t work period. And you can’t make drastic changes in one week ( I’m not sure you can in 2?) so hopefully there’s something that can be done.
Having said that if I remember correctly we were hearing how from camp Jurkovec was torching the secondary… was that all smoke and mirrors? Or was the defense that bad at that point?
