Looking at the schedules for these two teams and it almost does not seem right.

For Duke, the first 7 games are:

@BC
@Wake
VT
@Clemson
ND
Cuse
@NCS

OK, it picks up after that with home and away against both Ville and UNC, etc. But, they will be 7-0 before the real games begin.

With UNC, almost the same

Clemson
GT
@FSU
@Cuse
NCS
Wake
@VT
BC

Again it picks up after that with games like @Ville, @UVA, etc. But, they will be 8-0 before the real games begin.

Maybe the ACC did this deliberately pushing the bigger games towards the end of the schedule I dunno, but otherwise it almost does not seem right. Almost like they are showing favoritism to Duke and UNC.

Eh. By the time you play the conf schedule, every team has played 12-14 games.

Neither team played a soft non-conference schedule, so it isn't like they haven't played anybody tough before now.

And historically, ND and Cuse are tough games. That wasn't doing them any favors.

You're paranoid.

ACC should go to three 5-team divisions. Play home-home vs the 4 teams in your division, then each of the other teams once--division A at B, B at C and C at A. That would give each team in a division the same schedule, and you could crown a true division champion.

Then seed the ACC tournament with giving each of the division winners and the best 2nd place the double bye, give the other 2 second place teams and the 2 best third place teams the single bye.

Don't give SMF any ideas. He'll start 5 threads on this throughout next week.
