Early Vegas odds for this weekend...

Tech scares me too. As I mentioned in another thread they just have too much talent to keep losing, hope they don't put it together this week. Their O, when its clicking, is always a nightmare matchup. We might learn a lot about the D staff this week depending on how they keep it in check and what adjustments they come up with should Tech start moving the ball consistently.

Last years game was absurd... You couldn't duplicate it if you tried..28 points on very short fields...right now tech is hurting... They may have lost 3 defensive starters in Clemson game.. And there are now several blueprints on how to stop them...I think Pitt can pull this off in other words ... One game at a time.

This game has almost become a no win scenario for Pitt - if we lose after all the GT losses, it appears we underachieved. If we win, it appears GT is continuing their downward spiral, not that we necessarily beat them.

I disagree. A win is a win. We win this one and the college football world starts to think that we may not be the same old Pitt. Only Ron Cook and Andrew Fillipponi will view this as GaTechs down turn vs Pitts upturn.

Yeah - I guess you're right. I really was looking forward to a ranked GT team to hopefully put us on the map.

Wn the next 3 and we'll be on the map, theyll have no choice but to put us there. Right now everyone is just waiting for Pitt to revert back to the team that finds a way to lose. While we did hold on yesterday barely beating the worst team in the ACC (and possibly one of the worst P5 teams in the country) isn't going to have pollsters giving us a second look.

We're not any kind of national title contender so I honestly couldn't care less about rankings or national perception but one thing we can control is the ACC Coastal & winning football games, whether by 1 point or 50, will accomplish that.

Pretty odd lines IMO. Georgia Tech has not looked good, they are still Georgia Tech with that tough offense to defend against and they're home so I almost get that. Ohio State-Penn State had to be a tough one I think. Penn State's offense has looked really bad most of the time, but Ohio State just isn't blowing teams away like we're used to seeing. As for Baylor/WVU, well I guess they just couldn't give WVU any more points and feel safe about it. Nothing against WVU, but Baylor's offense this year is playing at an all-time great level.

So GT is a home underdog against Pitt? This game scares me, big time.
:rolleyes:Coach Narduzzi & Staff are going up against Coach Johnson!

The game is still away!!

Pitt has not beaten Georgia Tech since joining the ACC!!!

Pitt Offense still has not played 4 Quarter Football?o_O

The Pitt Defense will have to learn & deal with Johnson's Option??

If there is any Team & Coach that will challenge Pitt New Coach & Staff on creating a Good Plan & execution of it, that will be Georgia Tech!:(

Yet, this Pitt coaching Staff, Game Plans, & Execution is up to that task but we all need to see it!:p

It is the perfect time to play Georgia Tech, go up against Johnson, and make another No Quit Statement that challenges Don Nuzzi Defense!

The Special Teams need to score a TD too!:)

I would like to see this be the Game that Pitt & Coach Pat & Staff put it all together on Complete Offense, Defense & Special Teams!:D

It would make a statement and showing and portend better things to come and turn the heads of many recruits looking at Pitt!:)

It is not easy game in spite of Georgia Tech recent losses!;)

I think considering Virginia the worst team in the ACC and possibly one of the worst teams in the ACC in some ways is as much or more perception than reality. Most of that perception comes from the 56 points Boise hung on them. They were competitive vs UCLA, Notre Dame and Pitt. Their problem is more coaching than lack of talent, IMHO. Because they have talent they aren't going to be an easy out when they play closer to their talent level. But, surely the perception that they are worse than they really are (or should be) among casual fans and pollsters especially now that they are 1-4 is going to work against you if you don't blow them out like Boise did.

My lock last week was VA plus the points versus Pitt.

This week, I will pay my monthly mortgage with my winnings from the Ohio State game.

The season is beginning to focus with regard to the eventual playoff teams. It now becomes time to earn style points. As other have pointed out correctly, tOSU has not looked quite as impressive as expected....and.....Urban Meyer can be a jerkoff.....running it up when not necessary

So.....I look for OSU to play much better....and for tOSU to take it out on the Nitters Saturday.

In fact....I am going to enjoy watching this ass kicking.
