Probably 2024 at the very earliest and if we’re lucky. When does it end?
Tomorrow would be nice. This is pathetic. When does it end?
When does it end? The worst is yet to come.
I feel bad for these kids. Capel just doesn’t have it and refuses to make any changes to his staff, approach, ego, etc. Notice I didn’t say system b/c Capel doesn’t have one of those either.
I wanted to post the same response...lolHopefully Soon
100% correct! A one manA few random observations…
Around 5 minutes left in the first half John doesn’t get a call he felt he should get and then decides not to run back on D. This leads to numbers and a Vandy bucket.
Then Vandy decided to play a 1-3-1 zone, Pitt & JC acted like they never saw an odd man front zone. When you face an odd man front zone you attack with an even man front O, get it middle and look to the opposite short corner. What the heck did Pitt run?
Do we have anyone on this staff who can teach basketball?
Exactly, it really is simple, but apparently for this staff it’s difficult.100% correct! A one man
front on D calls for two
guards out front. This
has been going on since
Capel has arrived here.
How to attack a zone is
as basic as it gets. When
we go zone on D it's as
bad as our zone offense.
Point taken; but I don’t think better coaching is the only, or even the most serious, issue with this team’s offense.
I’m not sure we could score 70 in an empty gym. I’d like to see the score at practice in 5 on 0You've got to wonder if we even have the ability to score 70 in a game.
This team is incapable of scoring enough to beat any power 5 team. Averaging only 59 points per game over 5 games.
Truly pitiful offensive capability.
Probably 2024 at the very earliest and if we’re lucky.
I don’t think anything less than 5-15 showing actual on court improvement gets him another year. Donors are lining up to change stuff as we speak. Change is afoot. Possibly she gives him the lifeline of changing his staff but why would he? Be loyal to your friends, say hey I tried then collect a big buyout seems like the move.No. 0/1 ACC win and he's gone. There's no choice
2 ACC wins and he may get another year
3 ACC wins and he probably gets 1 more year to save the buyout

Because you’re not allowed to entice recruits before they’re on campus with promised NIL’s.What could save him is a great recruiting class but that's obviously not going to happen. I remember Kevin Willard was about to be fired then he bought that one class and the rest is history. Same with Pat Chambers. Capel desperately needed a very strong class and right now he doesn't even have a class at all.
I mean its extremely obvious that Capel is eventually going to be fired but the question remains as to when? Do you let him coach another year to save $3 million? Why are boosters lining up to pay Capel's buyout when they should be lining up to pay players NIL deals. You can get a great class if you pay these kids $50K and its perfectly legal now. Why isnt that happening?

And we could give him Lebron James and D Wade in his prime and we’d be a bubble team.
