And add Newkirk, Luther and C. Johnson to the other two guys being run off. They have no upside. If you wanna add Jones I wouldn't object.

Clean slate is needed.

Messrs. Gallagher and Jula, show the same balls you showed in December. Or else the program will sink even lower.

Ok, so now Uchebo, Haughton, Luther, Jeter, Robinson, Newark, Jones, and Cam Johnson are all gone next year according to our great posters.

That means we bring back Durand Johnson, Mike Young, Artis, Ko, and Lecak next year.

I am as frustrated as anyone, but too many are going off the deep end.

Honestly, I'm not sure that'd be the worst thing in the world, hahaha.

I'd keep JRob around. I'm fine with that.

I've never been a "fire Jamie" guy, quite the opposite, but...

how do you lay the blame for this dumpster fire on the assistants, while giving the boss a pass?

That's absurd.

And frankly, even as a Jamie supporter, I'd like to see the new regime sit down with him and ask him some hard questions-and also ask him what he needs from them to help him straighten this mess out.

It would be a mistake for them to treat JD as though he has a lifetime contract. A minimum level of expectations and a reasonable timetable to achieve them need to be discussed.

That's STUPID Pittsburgh BS, like never fire Cowher or Tomlin, just fire a coordinator if things go bad. Seth Greenburg;s analysis was good, I hope they go with the 30 second clock since it will hurt system's like Dixon's and force them to recruit shooters and offensive players to compete!

He wrung many more wins than this group frankly deserved. He probably did one of his best jobs, really. And he definitely has the passion and fire.

None of which can be said for his sorry bunch of Matt House like assistants. And they don't make up for their utter lack of worth for game strategy or motivation or execution (or in Johnsons case, ability to shield players from trouble ) with excellent recruiting.

Jamie's one weakness ... recruiting ... desperately needs balanced by hungry, fiery, persistent, scheming, conniving, even shady or sleazy assistants, who can deliver.

After the alarming struggles on the recruiting trail these past couple years, plus increasing fiascoes on the court (lack of hustle, terriblet fundamentals, stupid decisions, no heart), it's evident these assistants are proven duds in all aspects and must GO.

Nonsense.

While this is a deficient group in many ways, it's not like we were playing with lesser players than, say, a George Washington. And when you see a team that lacks effort, that doesn't like to get dirty, that goes after loose balls and rebounds with alligator arms, that plays lazy defense--who should get the blame for that? How about the guy who gets paid 2 million a year to make sure those things don;t happen.

News flash--the assistant coaches don;t have much to do with the way this team practices and plays.

And if you want to blame the assistants for the roster deficiencies, that;s just as absurd. This is Jamie's program and team--not Barton's or Knight's. Where is Jamie on the recruiting trail? What players has he reeled in since Big Steve? And of course you have to rely on your staff to recruit, but if they aren't getting it done, (1) why are they there in the first place and (2) why doesn't he fire them?
