I don't think most people realize just how tough it is to keep a young person close to home for college...especially one with high hopes.
Not that you can't reach your goals anywhere....Pgh, Columbus, State College, etc....but many young people want to spread their wings in a spot they haven't called home.
The best thing about Pitt being in Pittsburgh is that they are NOT identical.....you can make entirely different worlds between the 2.
Keeping PCC players in the fold speaks very highly of Pitt as a destination...
I would love to keep more players from the WPIAL here if they are of the quality we need, but that is not realistic.
With the 2 PCC recruits, I see more than a couple of young men staying local....I see Pitt being the winner as a stand alone destination.
