Pitt got blown away by better execution, speed, talent, and coaching. As another QB has a great field day setting 500 Yards again with poor coverge's, tackling, no pass rush, and just got outright beat. playing Even worst has key injuries to DL that posses big problems and the Offensive Turnovers with QB Peterman bad game too, really put this away for a complete Miami Win. The biggest impact is that playing at Clemson is something these Players & Team are not ready for in anyway. I expected a Loss way back when the season started and changed it to a Toss Up Loss but it could be Narduzzi third Blow Out! Even Duke and Cuse are Toss Ups until the Panthers prove otherwise, just like i predicted earlier in the season. What is disappointing. Expectations for this Team by 9th and 10th Games should be better by now. Just like last year Pitt lost some games later in the season, to be fair when you play tougher Teams later that is expected. Yet, I expect to see a better Team Play and that did not happen. However, this is expected as well when rebuilding a Program and team, but so little done and so much to do. Narduzzi is still the right Coach to rebuild this Program. Pitt still does not have the talent and speed to stay with Miami, VT, UNC, OKSU, and Clemson. Injuries play a role but this was blow out on Offense, DL, LBs, and not just DBs and Turnovers and it was the 9th game and finally caught up to Pitt. No Excuses, and Pitt has so much more to do and up to Pitt to do it. The earlier play in the season was great to see even in close losses, but like last year in Navy, Pitt has learned to play 4 Quarters earlier, but needs to finish Seasons Games with closer Wins and that is Program Rebuilding in Progress, and not just a disappointment, but needs to be fixed.
Excerpts:
If the score sounds ugly, it must have been even uglier for Narduzzi to watch his team suffer its worst loss of the season by far. Miami (5-4, 2-3 ACC) broke a four-game losing streak by — among other things — running for 178 yards, probably breaking the heart of a coach who preaches run defense like an evangelist.................Then in the second quarter, Pitt embarrassingly let a pocket passer run for 12 yards. “When Kaaya is running for first downs, we have problems,” Narduzzi said. Added defensive end Ejuan Price: “When teams can run the ball and throw the ball on you, that's going to be chaos.” Overall, Miami totaled 534 yards after Virginia Tech recorded 556 in the previous game and Penn State, Oklahoma State and North Carolina hit Pitt with three consecutive haymakers (406, 640 and 471) early in the season...........Narduzzi has decisions to make, too, but he didn't promise lineup changes — only more competition at practice. “We'll look at the tape. We'll evaluate,” he said. “I'm not making changes to make changes. I'll make changes so we can win the next three games.” On to a tough week of practice and then Clemson. “(We will) find out where we measure up,” Narduzzi said, “and see how we compete and bounce back this week.”
