Im calling it right now. Odukale will be one of the most improved players in the country next year and is going to be a major breakout player next season.

Let me go on official record saying it, today. As I wanted to be first in doing so.

Underestimate a NY point guard at your own peril.

He will be better than Johnson but that isnt saying much. Femi will be much improved but it wont really matter. We will lose a ton.

Agreed. Watching Femi next to a Shakeel Moore tells you all you need to know about ranking players outside the top 25 or so. Pitt got the better (but lower rated) player with more upside. In a perfect world, Femi and Schifino are the backcourt in 2 years.

I think Femi is going to be just fine. Some good things from him so far, but the last 3-4 games will tell us much more than we know already.

He showed promise against Louisville and even last game at the end of the half. He did not chuck up a 3. He did not take an off balance shot. He connected and actually made a basket to keep it close as time wound down. I think not having a legit C rattled XJ and caused some of the wildness. If we can find someone who can catch drop offs we will be fine at PG.

I think XJ needs a big to clear out the lane and create space. I'm excited to see what Femi can do the rest of the way this year.

1) Odukale's stats are better the last 10 ACC games too

Case in point

Oduakle's First 3 ACC Games- 9 Turnovers
Odukale's Next 10 ACC Games combined- 11 turnovers

Odukale is pushing almost a 3-1 assist to turnover ratio his last 10 ACC games combined which is major improvement from the start of the season. 26 assists to 11 turnovers. Femi's midrange shooting percentage also looks good.

Lol.

I wish I was more bullish on some of our other backup players breaking out next season. As of now Im not.

Femi will be better than Johnson. That I have no doubt of. I think he can potentially become a very good PG. I see some of that NYC savviness in him. And he's not a guy whose always hunting his shot like Johnson so that's a plus but again the team around him will be so bad, it wont matter. At this point, this is just a matter of how many years Heather can afford to buy out.

You should have learned your lesson with Horton being better than Mcgowens as I told you so.

ORTG Power Rating

Horton-105.9
Mcgowens- 86.5- Rock Bottom Fail for a junior

Yea, he’s been mediocre on a 5 win ACC team. I was way off. He’s averaging 1 point more than I said he would
