1) We were playing at a pace that we were accustomed too with weaker competition. Everything was a primary or secondary fast break. I would love to see data on how much clock we actually used because we were getting up very few passes and jumpers so quick without exploring g options.
2) I didn’t see much Horns or Zoom actions. When Bub gets a handoff he often rejects meaning the big handoff or Hinson can’t pop or dive and it gets cluttered and it also prevents Bub from having driving lanes.
3) Love Legget. We need to attack but balance in running g some sets against good teams. I would put Legget at point guard because he reminds me of Nelly in that he is more experienced and can control pace by knowing g when to push and when to slow things up and back things up. I would also like to see him in pick and rolls and zoom actions attacking and kicking the ball back for open shots. I think he is our best driver and one of our best shooters.
3) Not sure what to do about post defense. We can’t help because we can’t get defense the three when they kick out. I would try to side front the post at least with our length.
4) I think we are a good team. We will improve. But I am not convinced yet we will be better than last year. Too much Austin and Jeffers. Not enough downlow strength. Poor shot selection at times. And just very young in key spots. Hopefully I M wrong!!!
