Agreed, what I wonder is, does Tomlin want him back? I think(?) he does but you never know. Would ownership go for cutting him at this point? I doubt it.

I think he's cut if he doesn't retire. Keeping Ben next year makes the cap issues almost unworkable. Paying 40+ million for a QB with above average (at absolute best) skills and a body that can't hold up anymore is lunacy. I think Rudolph is the QB next year and I'm ok with it. Either he is really good or we end up with a high draft pick.
