Here's the final tally on Pitt's freshmen from the 2024 season. Who played enough to burn their redshirts and who stayed under the four-game threshold? Here's the list:

Sincere Edwards - 12 games played
Malachi Thomas - 12 games played
Francis Brewu - 11 games played
Jeremiah Marcelin - 9 games played

Those four are the only ones who burned their redshirts and will be sophomores in 2025. The rest will be redshirt freshmen.

Here's the count on those guys:

Allen Bryant - 4 games played
Tyreek Robinson - 4 games played
Jahsear Whittington - 3 games played
Cameron Monteiro - 2 games played
Cameron Lindsey - 2 games played
Juelz Goff - 2 games played
Davin Brewton - 1 game played

The rest of the freshmen did not play in any games during the regular season:

Julian Dugger
Nigel Maynard
Jiavani Cooley
Adham Abouraya
Zach Crothers
Moritz Schmoranzer
Mason Lindsay
Caleb Holmes
Ty Yuhas

As a reminder, the bowl game doesn't count against these numbers, so even the guys who are right at the four-game mark - Bryant and Robinson - can play without sacrificing their redshirts.
