Finally broke into AP Top 25

Early January 2016. I remember because we went to a ranked Pitt/Louisville game at the Yum! Center around that time. Pretty sure that was one of the last games they played before they dropped out.
How is 19-10 8-8 tcu in the top 25? Only double digit loss team ranked.

They maybe took into account their losses largely were when a player was out???
if you want to become even sicker, go look at the wins and losses of the non P5 teams ahead of Pitt. SDSU, Providence, Xavier generally lost to P5 teams in Nov / Dec and have beaten unranked conf hacks in Jan / Feb. So unimpressive. Pitt just needs to ignore the rankings and hammer those teams in the NCAA Tourney.
The Panthers have not been ranked in the AP Poll since January of 2016, when they were slotted at No. 20 in the Week 9 poll of the 2015-16 season.
Because they are from the mighty Big 12 silly...Aye, I've heard. The league kills teams by the hundreds. And if they were here, they'd consume the entirety of all other teams with fireballs from their eyes, and bolts of lightning from their arses.
And lost to Arkansas by 10, who lost to Bama twice, once by 15.
Oklahoma also lost to Sam Houston St.

I'm no fan of TCU. But objectively, they're definitely better than Clemson and NC State. Maybe a tossup with Duke.

Just looked at busting brackets website, it appears to be updated. They have Pitt as a 10 seed against Maryland in the first round, south region. Five ACC team: NC State, Virginia, Pitt, Duke and Miami.
Yes, that most of the teams in the big 12 have at least 1-2 quality OOC wins. I mean ND beat MSU and FSU kept purdue close, but I don’t think the B12 is overhyped, particularly versus the ACC. What upsets me is that B10 is so overhyped, especially when compared to ACC this year.
