1/13 big recruiting weekend - Proctor & Zayas & Wardlow would be nice gets for Pitt - DE & LB positions Pitt needs to continue to add talent & depth

1/20 Guy Thomas 4-Star DE would be a HUGE flip from Nebraska & Anthony Johnson 6'2 DB would be a great flip from Louisville - Noah Curtis is an interesting prospect for DE but would need 2-3 years to add weight for position of need

Garbutt seems to be VT as well as Proctor - Duzz needs to refocus and close on defensive talent he desperately needs to bring in every year for depth & athletic players to run his scheme

5-6 ships left - DE (2) + Twyman at DT + DB + High End talent like Anthony Davis would be nice way to finish class for Pitt

Proctor does seem unlikely. All indications put us 3rd on his top 3. But yea we sure could use him. I know there's some young uns on the roster but this still would seem to be a position of need. Bigly.

Are you saying he's visiting that weekend? I could be wrong but I'd bet money I saw something saying he's announcing at one of these all star games in the next few days. Of course I guess he could still take the visit.

Is how I see this class finishing.

Outside shot's at Garbutt, Proctor and Munford but probably not gonna get them.

Outside shot at flipping Bennett or Johnson at cb. Harrison Hand and Jeffrey Lubin are names mentioned in the past at cb.

Crishawn Wilson and Stephon Zayas are the other names to watch at de.

Probably try and flip a Rutgers kid...Fogg, Watts...who knows.

it will most likely be close to this.

It sounds like Pitt is still in running for Mumford. He's still waiting on an OSU offer and it sounds like that depends an another guy they're after.

Of course Pitt can't wait on him indefinitely either.

We could use a few late surprises like last year too so hopefully one or 2 of the reaches break our way. Or something out of nowhere.

I believe OSU and Kentucky are ahead of us. If no OSU offer, I see him going to Kentucky over us.

Ya, I don't get it. Stoops is somehow selling to all the OH kids that if they don't get their OSU offer, that Kentucky is the next best thing and these kids eat it up. Kentucky sucks and has 0 chance to ever compete for anything ever in the SEC.

Stoops and his assistants can recruit, that isn't their problem. Kentucky in football is a hard place to win at.

I think the Kentucky staff is selling the kids on gameday atmosphere. That's tough for us to compete with.

What they're saying is that if an Ohio State offer doesn't come through, you could do much worse than playing big-time games every week in the SEC.

That's a pretty intoxicating notion to most young men.

i don't subscribe anywhere either.

That's why I always read these recruiting threads. Seems there are enough people to cobble together some decent info.

At the end of the day LOI day is all that matters, but can be entertaining to try and put some pieces together in the meantime.
