Pitt beat PS. If you want to play the stupid what if game, then OSU beats PS if they did not play in a downpour.

PSU ended up having a real favorable schedule this year. Bunch of weak teams/teams at home. Should've known if Franklin could finally be the blind squirrel finding a nut getting that big W over a top ranked team, we'd be in this position of Nitters thinking their team is way better than it actually is.

There are 5 ranked teams on Pitts schedule and 2 on PSUs.....its not even a debate who plays the better schedule.

Pitt dominated for 3/4 of the game, but yet Nits think they deserved the win.
PSU currently has a strength of schedule of 26. That will drop in the coming weeks. PITT right behind at 30, but will move up in the coming weeks with games against Miami and at Clemson. The two games driving that SOS are UM and OSU.
I haven't heard anyone say PSU deserved to win. I've heard people say PSU is a much better team today than they were week two, primarily due to players getting healthy and how inexperienced the front 7 was, the same front 7 that just dominated #2 OSU, the same OSU team that vegas currently has as the #2 team behind Bama.

It's funny how Pitt fans throw the word "Dominating" to describe a win over Penn State, when the final score was 42-39.
I guess Penn State dominated the Buckeyes since they won by "3" what word would you use to describe what Michigan did to Penn State if Dominating is already taken?

There's the SOS, which again is inflated by games against UM and OSU, PITT will end with the higher SOS.
It was a pretty even game in the end with each team dominating certain quarters in the gAmerican. exactly what you want in a rivalry game.

Absolutely agree, Pitt made one-more play in the end, its football, at the moment according to the cfb committee it shows a win over a top 12 opponent, so I don't understand the uproar over the ranking, isn't that good for the Pitt program?
Also from Week 2 to now week 9 isn't it fair to say the Nittany Lions are one of the most improved teams?
Pitt outscored PS 14-7 in the 1st and 2nd Quarters. That is not even debatable. I suppose we could say 2/3 of the game. The 4th went to PS.
Agree on the first paragraph , the second is tough to quantify. PSU had a great win over OSU. Outside of that game and the pasting at UM, I'm not sure you can make a convincing argument when the schedule is pretty shaky.
Yeah no one saying PSU "should have" beaten Pitt. It was a great win for Pitt - a signature win. A "Super Bowl" feel to it for Pitt fans.

I think we can all agree that both teams are much different now than they were in Week 2. However, the only actual data is PITT winning a great game head to head.
Pitt is little to no different than week 2 of the season. Take me off the "all agree" list.
