Pitt takes a chance to act as a kind and generous university that believes in the ability of a great controlled environment to serve as a loving rehabilitation facility to those that have had issue within the realm of improprieties and behaviors they wish to correct. To that end and in the most loving and charitable fashion they give one Richard Pitino a second chance to make a twelfth impression and offer him the head coaching position at the University of Pittsburgh.

I would only go along with this if Rick brings along the hookers/ strippers for the season ticket holders and not for the players.
I'd be all for it! I'd love to be an outlaw program that laughs as they flip off the NCAA anyways, so it's exactly the type of thing I'd LOVE to see.
It would! I might even give money, if he used whatever tactics he used everywhere else and Pitt got a vacated appearance in the Final 4 out of it! That would be paradise! Finally doing things the right way.

Does any clothier in the Pittsburgh area sell terrible looking white suits, white shoes, with the "matching" red tie for Men???? Perfect attire for a college basketball coach, a pimp, or a

As successful as JD was I’d bet anyone Calipari would’ve exceeded his results and in the process bring in much better talent . Now how he’d of done that is a far different conversation . He’d have never of stayed the number the yrs JD here either . JD was great for Pitt and it’s unfortunate those in charge and “ those big boosters “ didn’t fully understand that .

Big Time Pitt fan, Went to school there in the '80s, never missed a game in person '87-'92. Still, the only college sports I watch are Pitt games, I have direct connections to the school's athletic committee too and sometimes get the tickets that are given to players for their parents. I know people on the bench during games, I call them on the sidelines to see what's going on down there during games, yup, absolutely serious big time Pitt fan.

I think it says a lot about anyone’s character that they want their sports team to cheat. Honestly, it is pretty pathetic.
There's no accounting for the lack of ethics and douchebaggery of some Pitt fans. I'd much rather have losing sports teams with high academic rankings that help my credentials and those of my sons than have a cheating sports program that can win but jeopardizes the reputation of the university by cheating.
And I sense that you are bragging about the free tickets and insider info. As if it is supposed to impress or mean something. Sorry, it doesn't impress me and it means nothing. I'm a bit more mature than that. But knock yourself out being you. You're very good at it.
Guess what, the publics perception is that Penn State and UNC and tOSU are better schools than Pitt. One of their alums may be hired over a Pitt alum because the perception created by winning at sports makes them look superior.
And yeah, I'd be all for " sports teams with high academic rankings that help my credentials" if we build a 20,000, seat on campus stadium and join the Ivy League and play against teams on equal footing, but not hamstrung against power 5 Teams that lie, cheat and steal all the way to the bank.
I don't want pitt to cheat in any way, but bottom line you can't win if you don't. You're living under a rock if you think there are "clean" big time programs out there. Some are way worse than others in how they go about it, but it's rampant in college sports. All it takes is a couple schools and then it becomes "why wouldn't I just go to the school that will pay me?"

If you absolutely don't want to cheat, then go to a lower division. I don't want the prestige of being a perennial P5 doormat. I'd rather be D-II champion than be Vanderbilt forever.
You obviously didn't read the rest of my post (or maybe I just wasn't all that clear.) I don't want them to cheat, I did say that. But you have to cheat to win, and I want pitt to win! If they plan on getting with the times they need to do whatever it takes to get the big time recruits. If there were another way to load up on top recruits that would be great and what I would prefer, but it's 2017 they need to get on board with what 99.9% of the big schools are doing.
