First the NBA, then college hoops and now college football

The NBA died for me when the players began to rule the roost and force ridiculous trades and create super teams. I’ve got no problem with following the money to make a living but the NBA players went entirely out of bounds in my book. I have watched maybe 4-5 games in the past 5 years.

College hoops started its decline for me with Pitt’s demise but I went cold turkey 2 years ago and haven’t looked back. I lost complete interest when every team I watched has a new roster nearly every year. It’s hard to get on board with a yearly pickup squad. Another sport dead for me.

Now college football is turning into a crap show as well. I’m all for the players getting their fair share but the key term is “fair”. If the NCAA or some other governing body doesn’t institute regulations around salary and tampering, this sport will also be dead for me within 2 years.

All I have left is the NFL.

Maybe now I’ll finally get some yard work and projects around the house done…
