Five Words I Never Thought I'd Say:

Is that the same Ron Cook that says (again) that Pitt hasn't beaten a good team all year? I wonder if North Carolina agrees with him this morning?

Worst set of G's in the ACC. Can't or worse yet won't shoot. Can't guard anyone. Can't get to the rack. Etc, etc. Dont even get me started on our 5's. Atrocious. Essentially it's 2 on 5 every game so good luck in the ACC w that formula. Hard to watch.

Every game it's the same thing. Young (& Artis) trying to do TOO MUCH while the guards (& basically everyone else) do....nothing.

With our 2 starting guards we have a BIG time problem.

1. The first... Can't shoot (J-Rob) & shoots too much.

2. The other (Smith) can shoot but chooses not too!! Like shoot the darn ball! He's shooting over 45% from three. No reason why he shouldn't be shooting at least 5-6 threes a game & Dixon should set up the freaken offense to do just that!

(Plus we have no one that can really drive to the hoop, I won't even get started on that...)

Instead we pass the ball aimlessly and occasionally we'll make the jumpers, but the days they don't fall (at at least 44-45%) were pretty much screwed.

Go Pitt.

So ND, with 7 losses and 4 ACC losses, is a good team now that they upset UNC?

Monmouth will be very happy to hear that.

ND is a decent, middling ACC team that is capable of beating or losing to anyone in the league on any given night. That doesn't make them a good team.

I guess it depends on your definition of a "good" team. They are obviously a top 20-30 type of team. To me, beating a team like that on the road is a good win. The fact that a North Carolina team that is better than us couldn't do it ought to help show you that. But I guess if your definition of a "good" team is like a top five or a top ten team then no, they aren't that good. But to me that's a rather silly standard.

Anyone but Boston College that is...they're a disgrace to the ACC at hoops.
