Wow what a dominating performance this morning. They pressed Leicester all over the field for 90 full minutes. Impressive. Coulda easily been 7 or 8-0

I’m actually sad to see how far Leicester has fallen since they came out of nowhere to win the Premier League. Playing in Europe has killed them (except financially) because they don’t have nearly enough depth to play the number of games they now have to play.

Could have had three. The goal, the offsides, and a poor strike where he was a bit too early on his run and was already just past near post and couldn’t get the angle
Actually he looked like he was shoved from behind on the one he missed while in the act of shooting. So yes he could have had 3. But about his goal, it wasn’t sexy. And casual followers of the sport wouldn’t appreciate or notice what he did to get the goal. He checked into a pocket of space inside the 18 and wanted the ball at his feet. The pass never came so he instinctually made a little 8 yard run and arrived inside the 6 just in time for Ziyech to find him with a pass. His first touch and finish both needed to be perfect and were. The kid is unreal with the ball at his feet, but the runs he makes off the ball are so good. Frank Lampard really demanded that Christian get better at arriving in front of the goal…and it really seems these are the only kinds of goals he scores anymore. Some people don’t think Chelsea is a good place for him, but I really feel that fighting for his job in every training session has made him a better player.

Most dominant I’ve seen them in a while. That was a beat down. They found the back of the net I think 6 times although 3 were offside.

Will he ever manage again? I can’t imagine he will. Who would want him?

I think he could go back to someplace like Molde, if that was what he wanted to do.

I can't imagine anyone in one of the top leagues hiring him unless and until he gets a lower level job and has good success there.

2 hours before kickoff vs Juventus and it’s believed that Pulisic will get his first start since before his Covid diagnosis a few months ago. Let’s go!!! Paramount+ at 3pm.

Timo Werner stinks.
It’s frustrating. Tuchel really fancies him and I don’t know why. It has to be his pace, or it’s his nationality due to both being German. As a coach, I acknowledge that I have a bias toward players with pace. But enough is enough with Timo. He’s the classic example of a player with pace who gets by because of his speed but hasn’t allowed the technical parts of his game to catch up. And then coming up through as a youth player coaches didn’t push him to develop the other parts of his game.

at Chelsea, the squad is two deep at every position. So if you’re in form, you play and world class players have to be professional and wait for their opportunity and it often comes due to injuries. Mason Mount and Christian Pulisic are facing that battle right now. But Timo Werner doesn’t have to face that battle. Tuchel finds a way to get him the lineup.

imagine that game yesterday with Mount, Lukaku and Pulisic starting instead of Hudson Odoi, Werner and Ziyech. When They came in, they changed the game. But Tuchel didn’t even bring them in at 60:00. He brought them in at 75:00 and 80:00.

And I shouldn’t say changed the game. Chelsea dominated that game. But the three starters just lack that final pass or final goal. Hudson Odoi does a lot of good stuff. So I get why he has been playing. But he simply hasn’t shown the ability to finish like CP. Tuchel needs to put CP in the lineup and leave him in there for several games like he has with guys like Havertz and Werner.

I didn't watch the game because I'm not paying for Peacock Premium now that the Fulham is in the Championship. I was listening on the Sirius feed and Werner had 2 sterling chances and according to the broadcast team, he completely bottled each. He should be on his way out in January but like you said, he won't because Tuch's has that German connection. It can't be anything else because if it was potential, Tuch's could have pulled that out by now.

Tuchel said “he’s been finishing in practice”. My guess is the others do too. It’s bull!

against Juvy, Pulisic was played out of position as a false 9 and all he did was create space for others. Saturday, he subbed in at wing back (again not his position) and he really provided a lot of energy and set up some scoring chances.

I'd say CP should seek a transfer, especially if this pattern continues with Tuch's playing him all over. Summer move to a system that let's him create and flow
