I was watching Monday night football last night and it became obvious to me that recruiting is flawed. We are clearly looking for athletes whose ability does not always translate.

A clear cut example of this is Bruce Lee or maybe Jackie Chan. Imagine if they had played football. They would strip the ball virtually every play. They strike with pin point precision and we be great Dbacks. On offense l, they could do flips and jumps that would easily average them 8 yards per carry.

Let’s stop look by on the football field for our next great panther. It may be time to look at your nearest dojo.

Keeping to the far east, why not sumo wrestler linemen? Who needs speed, we're going for "one ton line" that can push opponents 5 yards per play. Add a fullback. Run blast 10 times in a row then play action pass.

I have played enough NES Ice Hockey to know you can only take one skinny guy per team

Exactly. We are now seeing Australian Rules football players entering the NFL. Other sports do translate to certain NFL/college skill sets.

And how are there not a ton of ex-college football players in Euro Rugby Leagues? You mean to tell me that if George Aston doesnt make the NFL, he couldn't make one of those teams?

those dudes hold all the time...not to mention loving having their asses hanging out. Shogun formation is fine, but do you want to have to line up behind that on a QB sneak?

They'd have to do the old single wing sideways snap. I agree it would be cruel to make a quarterback put his hands in a sumo ass area.

Add the phrase "at least 6 times a game whether necessary or not" and I think you've finally put the best spin yet on the 2018 Pitt Offense!

The Eagles drafted a potential lineman who has speed, size, and quickness. Looking to make him a Tackle.

HCPN should go to every local tae kwon do studio and offer every high schooler there a scholarship. Would revolutionize the way CFB coaches recruit. Talk about building a pipeline.

Penn State actually tried that with a retired DC named Sandusky back in the day ..They ended up with some issues with his "wax on, wax off" training method with some of the younger fellas...

Tell me you wouldn't want Johnny and Dutch from the Cobra Kai lining up as Linebackers on your defense!!!

I would pass on the Jaden Smith offer.

Every team can claim they need better players. Case in point:

LSU coach Ed Orgeron says he needs “better players”. I say LSU needs a better coach. Part of coaching is player development, game day coaching, team preparation... At some point a coach needs to take responsibility and coach.

Their is a talent discrepancy between LSU and Alabama, but it’s not insurmountable.
