I like my Tesla but I do feel very driving it. I didn't buy it because I liked Elon Musk. I had no opinion of him. I bought it because I felt it was the best EV option and I liked it's features. I hate to be part of cancel culture but I will absolutely never buy another Tesla because it's attached to one of the world's worst humans....and true James Bond villain. And again, a lot of what Elon says and does is due to the autism but that can't excuse everything. I probably won't sell it because it's value has fallen off a cliff (value started falling even before the heel turn) but never buying another.

I'm also anti-war and pro-strong borders but we do need an immigration system where we can legally import Latin American workers to work on farms, manual labor, and fast food. I was at the Wendy's drive through last night for 20 minutes. 2 people working. We don't legally import enough of these workers so they sneak across and get jobs extremely easily.

Speaking of switching sides, Republicans used to be anti-Russia and anti-dictator. Not anymore. I am anti-war but I am very much anti-authoritarinism, anti-dictator so I believe in helping Ukraine fight off Russia with money, not troops, as long as they want to do it. It's costing me $5. I won't miss it.

The autism prevents him from having common sense (ie we can't go to Mars and there's maybe 3 Americans who bury their loved ones in their backyard to continue to collect their SS). It greatly hinders his ability to do PUBLIC work. In private business, the disability is an advantage. His belief in general conspiracy theories also highlight this lack of common sense, which is what they usually say about highly intelligent people.

EVs are nice toys if you have money to burn or if you want to virtue signal regarding how much you care about the environment (ie government stooges who believe in climate change)

However they are incredibly impractical as a functional vehicle and cause more environmental damage than IC engines.

Your comments doesn't just apply to Teslas. That's all EV's. They have some work to do, all of them, before they're a viable product for people who drive more than to the grocery store or only in warm weather. And how about the infrastructure and pollution problems their manufacturing and battery disposal causes.

Yeah I think you asked me. I don’t remember much push back from republicans but I do remember much push back from the kids. I had 4 kids in school at the time and the kids hated it.

It was a while ago and I want to say portion sizes were an issue, but let’s face it, we have a portion size problem in this country.

Tesla actually had an incredible resell value up until about a year ago. The drop wasn't due to politics but just more of a market cooling. One of the reasons I bought it was the resale. It's still higher than gas cars but the gap has closed.

Also, I love the self-driving. That's another huge reason I got it. I only drive it maybe 10% of the time. The rest of the time, I'm just sitting there as a passenger, essentially. Other tech features are really cool. If not for his insanity, I'd buy one again.

It essentially made them healthier. I think one thing they recommended was to remove chocolate milk. Mostly a framework for schools to follow, I think. But but but... Obama took away the fried chicken sammich, fried potatoes and chocolate milk so it's evil!
