The team played largely like Freshmen.

A lot of rushed play on offense resulting in missed bunnies around the basket. I'm confident that if Pitt calms down and runs their offense they'll dominate this half.

Man Xavier Johnson is a good player. He is one of the best freshman players Pitt has had probably since the Fields Young Blair era. All these freshman guards Johnson, McGowens,and Toney are all solid and I think can give opposing teams a lot of problems this season moving forward.

Because we have a game that starts at noon on Wednesday against a much better opponent and he didn't want that to be their first early start time of the year.

I agree. He is a different type of guard than we ever saw under Howland/Dixon. Not that I would trade what we got from BK, Krauser or Levance, but he seems to be that break-you-down, slash or shoot guard that some have desperately wanted. Small sample size though.
