We really arent that far off. The talent level on this team isnt as far off as you think. Narduzzi went into Stallings-mode after the extension.

Been saying it all year. Very close to Majors 2. The offense is as bad or worse than Majors 2. What's "saving" this team is the defense is a C or C-
Majors 2 lost by 54. We lost by 51. So yea, we arent Majors 2 bad. 😉
Duzz really effed up. REALLY effed up. And this is a years-long fix.
I don’t agree with this. We gifted ND about 24 points. Horrible QB play. Horrible ST mistakes.
A few of those mid 90s games had teams that simply couldn’t compete.
These guys (especially the defense) were competing until the above became too much. I think most days this game is more like 38-14.
Some of those Majors 2 teams had NFL players. This team does not.
We are not a horrible team, there is talent on this team, we're just not coached to our potential.
Why can't it be both? Bad players. Bad coaching. Who are the NFL players? You need a certain amount of NFL players to be good? Who on this team will play a game in the NFL? Bartholemew, Devonshire. Who else?
You have to win the games you're supposed to win. Do that and this game doesn't sting so bad. We knew we would have trouble with ND, UNC, and FSU the rest of the schedule was loaded with very winnable games. BAD COACHING has us all here pissed off!
Most of us have watched enough Pitt football over the years to identify talent. There isnt any on this team. This isnt just a coaching problem. Yes, Cignetti and the whole offensive staff needs to go but we have no QB, no WRs, no OL, and ok RBs. On defense, they dont have the DL and LBs they have had. No talent
