Cliff notes version of the game.

If Pickett makes that first 3rd down throw to Ffrench, he's got a convoy in front of him.

Wow, that pick looked a thousand times worse on video than it did at the game. Look at Ffrench's body language... almost as if he had seen that one too many times before. I can't help but wonder if Pickett completely stunk up camp, and these receivers are having a tough time even getting into the game because of it. Mack seemed lethargic all night. Shoot... even look at Tipton not acknowledge Pickett after that TD.

I noticed French's body language during the game. Was definitely an "are you kidding me" moment.

That kind of a dejected slump from the receiver doesn't come from merely one fluke bad pass. That's an "oh sheet, not again" kind of slump.

The worst part of that pass was that there was another receiver wide open on the sideline.

Well there were three guys open where he threw it. Unfortunately, they all play for Virginia.

Seriously... how did he even see Ffrench through all that white? If we're looking for silver lining, I have to commend his eyesight.

Pickett was throwing his way on the interception no matter what. He took the snap, only look that direction and got rid of the ball. It was forced because he was still frustrated with the previous pass.

This was the second interception? Pickett held the ball and held it some more. He was going to get sacked. I yelled at him to throw it. My wife said, he threw it and it got intercepted. I replied so what. If he hadn't thrown it he would have been sacked. Throwing it gave you a chance.

By the time he threw it, his positioning gave him no choice of receiver.

Just for clarity, my comment was in reference to the 1st series and the 3rd play of the game. That middle screen was a good call. If he gets the ball over the rushing defenders Ffrench does damage. He probably waited too long to throw that ball too.
