I want them to be a national laughingstock. I want them to be the butt of all the analysts jokes! I want it front and center on every SportsCenter! I want the School Admin and Athletic Dept. being laughed at 24/7/365.
I just want to see if these kids can improve on their own this year, because they sure don't have coaching. I'm afraid that most or all of them will be gone for next year, though. What decent player, or any player, wants to put up with this abuse?

Maybe she doesn't have any sales bones in her body but promotions help generate fan interest. Give aways, draw free season tickets for next year at each home game, stuff like that!

The problem with Pitt basketball is the product. That is why The Pete is empty. If you can’t see that, then you are dumber than a box of rocks.
Hey now, to be fair he does have a really good point there. Promotions do help generate fan interest. And we've played one home game since the last time we had a promotion. ONE! That's not nearly good enough! Lyke is obviously a slacker for not scheduling a promotion at every home game!

The fans who should be contacted for attendance promotions are those fans who don't have basketball season tickets in addition to fans who go to every game?

I called the athletic department, mentioned this, and they told me I'll most likely get new communications but they can't resend what was previously sent out?? Email technology must confuse the athletic department which wouldn't surprise me.
We live 300 miles away, attend all football home games and some basketball home games on weekends.

Personally, I don't suggest any promotions. I go to the games to watch the games, I don't need an ill fitting tee shirt or a stars and stripes Pitt magnet or some other freebie to go to the games, so I'm not the right person to ask.
Although I do admit that I liked the James Conner bobblehead they gave away at the football game.

Seriously I think they send their communications to those who have tickets/season tickets and ignore the potential market of those who don't have tickets.
Both of our kids who are Pitt grads, have basketball season tickets and get emails.
We have three sets of two Pitt football season tickets and get emails.
We don't have basketball season tickets,live out of the area so maybe they don't focus on out of the area Pitt people.

I do not understand why they do not send those emails, or perhaps at least similar ones, to everyone on their mailing list a few days before each game. "Hey, don't forget, there is a basketball game on Saturday afternoon, click here to buy tickets!" And mention the upcoming promotions. It don't cost nothin'!
You're an idiot. The person responsible for Stallings is in Oregon and I'm sure he could care less what happens at Pitt. And thanks to the contract the idiot laid out - there is no way Stallings is going anywhere for one more year... which explains why his family is still in Nashville and despite what Stallings says - HAS NO INTENTION on moving to Pittsburgh because it's a foregone conclusion he will be employed for one more year.

Comments like the one in the original post make me wonder if those who are making them ever played a competitive sport in their life.
They need one of those dunk tanks where fans get to throw at a target and drop KS into a cold pool of water. They'd sell a lot of tickets for that.
