That's right, this happened under Franklin's watch. And he saw a video of it, and didn't report it. He told his entire team that he saw it. Said it was disgusting. Again, he never told authorities about it, and word circulated that he told the player who showed it to him to delete it. We'll never know if that happened or not.
Then, we he had to testify, it would've made him look even worse if he stuck with his admission that he did see the video and hadn't reported it. So....he then said that he had been telling his players a bold faced lie when he said to them that he'd seen it and found it to be disgusting. That helped get him off the hook.

Franklin is on a short leash. His lack of an extension is going to get to be a huge issue on the recruiting trail this winter.
I agree with you. Furthermore, I think the powers that be up at that garbage dump have a certain number of wins in mind for this season, and if he doesn't get them he will not be extended. I think that number is 8 wins or better. 7 or less and he will likely be sent packing. In a way, I would like to see him get those wins, because he is a fraud and I would like him to stick around a while. Yet, I know the type of game day coach he is, and it severely hampers his chances of 8 or better.
I think he needs 9 to get an extension. He's paid pretty well but I'm not sure he's "their guy". Hard to explain but it just feels like a lot of apathy.
Dave Joyner was the nit AD who hired Franklin. Sandy Barbour is the current AD. Think it might be pretty interesting to see her have to hire a new HFC for the nits. Wouldn't be surprised to see her eff it up, big time, either.
