Pro Style QB comes from two different Ohio Powers. Committed to OSU as a freshman while at Massillon. HS teammate with Todd Sibley at Hoban now. Has some issues that need worked on , but defiantly worth the effort with a powerful arm and great size. Hopefully Duzz can get him.

perfect fit at PITT....

did I read lists Kentucky and Indiana...

I heard about this kid as a frosh but its more likely he didn't develop into the 5 star so OSU moved on.

He's a pro style guy and OSU got a commitment from the #2 kid in the country who is a dual threat guy - which fits their spread. Maybe Clark was encouraged but it's been speculated that ever since the other guy committed this was coming.

Can he hit the broad side of a barn?

I never seen him play, but the biggest complaint I hear about him is not so much accuracy but his touch. Again he is teammates with Sibley and from what I hear they are a running team do to all the WR graduating last year. We need talent at that position and with PJ going to ND, this is too good an opportunity to not put the full court press for.

Forget about him. Pitt is not interested. They allready have a drop back type QB in Pickett.

Pitt is looking at dual threat guys. Hernon Hooker and Mack. Hopefully, we get one of these two. Dual threat QB's is exactly what Pitt needs

Pickett is considered a dual threat qb. If Pitt can get a highly touted QB like Clark, you take it. Pitt does not need a Dual threat QB, they need a play-maker QB.

Yes. It sucks to have a QB who can tear the heart out of the defense with a 25 yard scramble on a broken play. Or cut upfield on an option for 15 or 20 yards. Or god forbid a TD. Who needs that headache?

Was Connor Cook considered a Dual Threat? No he was not, if Pitt had a QB like him Pitt would have won more games the past two years. Again, Pitt needs a play-maker be it a dual threat type or classic drop back. If you can't understand what i am saying then you are the one with no clue.

Another person who does not understand reading comprehension. Pitt needs a player maker at QB, not a QB labeled as a dual threat. If the next Tom Brady or Big Ben show up, should Pitt turn them down because they are not a dual threat? Pitt needs a play maker at QB, and we are comparing a 4 star in Ohio vs a 2 star in NJ. Who do you think is the better play-maker?

I just explain to you Pitt is not interested in this kid.
If you don't believe me. Continue on.

While that is on Narduzzi then. Personally I do not understand how they are not interested in a 4 * kid who only became available this morning who is teammates with a current recruit.

He isn't a 4 star and he is available because OSU doesn't want him anymore. Listen, I wouldn't have a problem if they brought him in, but I would be very, very surprised. I'd rather just take the best of him and Pickett and I imagine the coaches think the better player is Pickett. Unless you can get a stud QB and are very shallow, taking more than 1 QB in a class doesn't make much sense.

I read that too, honestly I do not know much about either program. What kind of offense do they run. I know we are in need of QB help.
UK has been recruiting like crazy since Stoops took over. They aren't much of a program but they are putting on a good sell.

There are plenty of playmakers at QB who aren't "dual threat" QBs in the classic sense. For an example, watch any NFL game, or most of the top 25 teams in college football.

Finding the right QB is a numbers game. Bring in as many as you can and let them compete for the job. The one who moves the offense down the field the best wins, whether he's a 6'6, 240 pound statue, or a 5'10, 190 pound glorified tailback. It's not always the guy with the biggest arm or the best 40 time.

I don't know anything about this kid, but he's apparently a higher regarded HS player than our pre-anointed savior, MacVittie. I say bring him in and let him compete with everyone else.

We have two duel threat QB, one this year and another next year, neither really playing yet. However, in 2018, the two best NJ 4 star QB are pro style QB and we are trying to recruit either one. Supposely has offers from all the big boys. If they are good enough, you adjust the system.

Absolutely.

My understanding is that Clark committed early to OSU, one of the first recruits in their 2017 class. He has not developed into the QB that OSU expected him to be, so they went out and got a commitment from Martell, one of the top rated 2017 QB's in the country.

I have watched two of Akron Hoban's games this year on TV because I wanted to check out Sibley and the rumors had started that Clark and OSU were on a path to part ways, even though Danny helped recruit some of OSU's 2017 class.

Todd Sibley is a stud RB and he makes the offense go. When he went out late in one game with an injury and with the game still on the line, Hoban's offense struggled. Danny Clark did not impress at all and in fact, missed open receivers in the games that I watched.

I want the dual threat QB from Jersey. I think Applewhite is his name. I know the staff also feels the same
