Former Panthers Playing Today

Justice Kithcart and #1 seed ODU play Western Kentucky (2 seed) tonight at 8:30 with the chance to punch their ticket out of Conference USA. It's on CBSSN. Kithcart played a decent amount earlier in the season, but has only averaged about 6 MPG for the past month or so.

Damon Wilson and #1 seed Georgia State play North Texas (4 seed) in the Sun Belt semis today at 4:00. What a bizarre season for Wilson, who has TEN zero point games, but also has FIVE ten+ point games. In his last four games, he's scored 18, 12, ZERO and 11 points. He had an awesome game in the Quarterfinals with 11 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists (0 TOs).

I’m glad that New Mexico and Arizona won’t be in the tourney. It would have been way too depressing to think that Johnson, Wilson, Kithcart, Manigault and Luther all would have been in the tournament, not to mention Dixon too.

I look forward to this weekend being exciting again for our Panthers. Selection Sunday used to be one of my favorite days of the year. I think we are two years away. Perhaps maybe even next year.

I’m glad that New Mexico and Arizona won’t be in the tourney. It would have been way too depressing to think that Johnson, Wilson, Kithcart, Manigault and Luther all would have been in the tournament, not to mention Dixon too.

Cam is NBA good. Luther is a legit P6 starter. The other guys totally blow. Not sure what our record without them has to do anything. Are you suggesting those 3 would have won us more games?

I posted the thread because i follow all ex-Pitt players and coaches whether i liked them or not. People have the choice to click on the thread or not. I clearly identify the subject.

Okay - I'll admit that I had a few green beers yesterday.

I think they could have won 6 more games in total, not 6 more in the ACC with Luther. He was probably Arizona's best player the final month of the season. We had 6 winnable games in the ACC where having a capable big could have been the difference (NCST x 2, Wake, GT, Miami, BC). Is Luther worth 2 points in the Iowa and Niagara games? Probably.
