Every year in August, Bruce Feldman of The Athletic releases a list of the top 100 “freaks” in college football.
The list is comprised of the players who are the strongest and fastest in the sport, as Feldman draws on his considerable industry sources to find those athletes who truly go above and beyond.
Last year, Pitt receiver Bub Means made the list, and he showed why at the NFL Scouting Combine when he ran a 4.43 40-yard dash, displayed a 39.5” vertical leap, jumped 10’2” in the broad jump and put up 19 reps on the bench.
A Panther made Feldman’s list again this year, and this time it’s freshman defensive tackle Francis Brewu.
