Drove through Franklin Pa manyof times growing up
Franklin is a really great town.
I was about to get on you for starting an opinion poll on Slick Jimmy.
Franklin looks like a nice little town.

franklin is a really nice little town, my buddy had a friend who had an apartment up there... always fun to get plastered and go into the state game lands outside of town, one time we stumbled around until we found this farm where a bunch of local kids were having a party, from what i remember it was the best party evar... until the next party i went to of course lol. every party was the best party evar in those days.
of course the one time i didnt go up there my friend and his sister got completely wasted, she decided to jump off his friend's second story balcony into about 3 feet of snow and he went on a rampage running through people's backyards and spent about two weeks in the venango county jail over it... that was the end of going up to franklin for me.

I like that purple house/beauty salon. The world needs more of those.
Actually, Franklin is one of the nicest towns North of Route 80 on this side of the state, well above "normal", imo.
Speaking of Franklin PA, Ted Marchibroda passed away today, he was a Franklin native.
Franklin isn't a bad little town, however, after high-school I left and never looked back.

Great town with an Annual Festival and beautiful Houses dating back to Oil Era. The entire area is just grand!
Resident of Windber here.
C'mon, take a close look at that Main drag. Head and shoulders above what the people here allowed to happen to their town. Windber has some great features. Right now the greatest of those is what is happening at Windber Hospital. But, in appearance, Franklin is head and shoulders above Windber.
Of course, their is a big difference in the histories of the towns. Franklin had more wealth behind it. Whereas Windber was a simple company town. The structure was not the same.
