Let's bring back the Friday Discussion here on the board. Each week we'll post a question that may or may not be related to Pitt athletics and see what kind of conversation follows. In the past we've talked about where you lived when you went to Pitt and that kind of thing; we might revisit those questions because they were pretty interesting, but today, let's start with a simple football question:
Pitt had four players return on defense who realistically considered leaving the program in Patrick Jones, Jaylen Twyman, Damar Hamlin and Paris Ford.
Which one of those would you consider to be the biggest return for Pitt?
For me, I think it has to be one of the safeties, but good luck picking one over the other. Ford is one of the most dynamic players on the team, but Hamlin is a solid, knowledgeable veteran at a difficult and crucial position in the defense.
I probably lean toward Hamlin, but only every so slightly. And you could convince me on Ford, too, especially given the lack of experienced depth at both safety spots.
What's your call?
